'The Harvard' is located conveniently in North Sydney, within a short walk of busses and trains (and soon light-rail). The building is well constructed, with thick walls (neighbours didn't even hear a screaming baby), a nice foyer space, and a small gym and pool/spa area.
The Body Corporate committee (which I am not on) is run very professionally by some committed owners with useful backgrounds (engineers, lawyers, etc). We have a part-time building manager who works closely with the committee to keep everything in working order and respond quickly if issues arise. They are also proactive in their planning/budgetting and maintenance to mimimise surprises.
As you would expect in North Sydney, there is sometimes construction occuring nearby. However the committee has worked hard with the council and developers to minimise impact on our owners/tennants, and ensure the building remains the premium residence that it is today.
While the original fixtures were quality, they have slowly dated. So some of the apartments have recently renovated. The foyer was also recently refeshed, and the external building painted (no small exercise!) showing the committee's commitment to keeping the building fresh and appealing.
